Happy Chanukah and holiday shopping

This Friday night is special for two reasons this week. Not only is it Shabbat, but it also marks the start of Chanukah. All of the running around and getting things ready for our family has to be finished. Most items for the boys have been bought for a while (pre-Black Friday). We get them a little something for each night. Books factor into this a lot.
There are one or two items that I still need to get tomorrow. Hubby and I have also decided to purchase tickets to BlogHer ’10 as our presents to each other…at least I think that is the plan. Tonight the wrapping extravaganza will take place. While JL bakes something for gift giving (can’t say what since people read this),I will tackle project wrap and label. Saturday night we are heading to a Chanukah party with my parents, my brother and his family, grandmother, aunts, and an uncle. Right now we just hope the weather holds back on snow/ice for Uncle I, Aunt M and Cousin S can make it into town.

I am all done – I have the wrapping paper out & I think I will have it all wrapped soon. Knowing me thought I will be wrapping well into Christmas morning. LOL

Oh yes. I finished last week and everything has been wrapped and all packages have been shipped.

I have no clue how to Christmas shop. I think it’s an American thing.
Is it about buying just gifts for family members?
I don’t have the $$ to do that. I just buy groceries.
However I did go to my first black friday and got a toy for each child so I’m excited to wrap this for them.

Yesterday I had to run out to get applesauce and chocolate gelt. Oh Yeah I got the gelt but forgot the sauce. Hubby will pick that up on his way home. Having a party tonight. Are you close enough to go to the National Menorah lighting?

I put all the shopping into my hubby’s hands this year. He got all the presents the day after I gave him the kids lists. Which has been a stress off my back.

Happy Hanukkah!
We’re in mourning here so I’m limiting my holiday festivities/gift giving this year. I must say that it is nice to have kids old enough to truncate 8 gifts into one

I am all done for my girls…they are wrapped and under the tree. I do have to still by for my mom and my husbands family…other than that…we are done.

Yes, I have finished all my shopping. We couldn’t do a lot this year so we have kept it very simple. LOVE the jib jab photo of you two!

I have finished my shopping – we did it all before we went away just in case things went badly and we had to be gone longer than expected. We do, however, have to wrap everything still
