Lots and Lots of Snow

The winter started off kind of slow here in the snow department. Over the last three weeks, Mother Nature is laughing down at a lot of us. Tuesday night into Wednesday, we got at least 13” of fresh snow.
While the snow looks very pretty, it can be tough to deal with. It melts and creates ice, which is beyond dangerous to drive on. Roofs may form ice damns that leak back into homes. If there is too much snow, you can have trouble locating a place to shovel more of it.
On the flip side, playing in the snow is lots of fun. Listening to your children laugh while they make snow angels, go on sleigh rides, and chase each other is priceless.
So my question to you this week is:
What is your favorite and least favorite part about snow? If you are not in a snowy area, I hate you… –er I mean what is the first thing you would like to do in snow?

We’ve been getting gypped out in the snow department so far this year – we finally got a couple of inches Monday night so at least it’s taken the drab brown/gray dreary away and brightened it up with pretty white.
My least favorite part of snow is the same as what you’ve mentioned – the melting to ice part, and when it’s been around for a while and starts too look all dirty and yucky.

I love watching the kids play in the snow, but I am getting to where I really, really dislike cold weather. I do love seeing all the trees covered in white. Too pretty!

As I get older, I hate everything about snow, driving in it, watching hubby having to shovel (I can’t help), the boots, the cold, the heavy coats, falling, etc etc etc. I just hate Winter!!!

I can handle about one snow storm a year, then I am done with it!!
The best part is my kids are old enough to play in the backyard by themselves now while I watch from the window in the toasty warm house!!

I love winter – love the cold weather and love the snow. The best part to me is just how pretty it is when everything is snow covered. The bad part is having to get out and drive on icy roads.

Oh I love snow, but only in the winter months. I love to tube and snowshoe, cross country ski and bobsledding.
I am jealous , we have no accumulations as of yet

Snow is pretty in December (except for the past December when we got dumped on). By January, snow turns dirty and becomes a pain.

Not a lot of snow here in Texas. I’m not really a fan of the cold so this is a tough one for me. I guess I would go for trying to ski???? or throw snow balls.

I’m sorry to hear you hate me LOL I was in the snow a few winters ago in Denver and all I wanted to do was throw snowballs at the kids! They thought I was crazy!

We had the snow here at the start of december, it’s warmed up since, but i still think there will be more to come! I like how pretty it looks, but as I work in car insurance, I know we’re going to get busy with lots of claims as soon as the weather turns bad!

We’ve been getting more snow then I think we normally get and certainly more then I want :-)
My favorite part is when I can sit inside on a cold evening and watch the snow fall while I enjoy hot chocolate and a nice fire.
My least favorite part is shoveling it (or driving in it!)
Another favorite part is when it melts — LOL!

It’s very warm here
The sun is out. It’s high 50s. Not a wee bit of snow. none. *Rubbing it alll in like spice*
Oh that wasn’t the question huh.
I’d love to do a sled ride in the snow!
