SheStreams and NYC Bound
By TheAngelForever | September 23, 2011
Yes, you read that right. I am heading to SheStreams today. I have always wanted to go since they announced the conference, but things came up and other factors were there.
Then, out of the blue Wednesday with less than two days before I would have to go, things started to line up. TechyDad gave me the green light, Nana and Papa can help with the kids after school Friday, and a ticket was purchased from a friend that could no longer go. It just worked out amazingly.
I am excited and scared at the same time. I have been to BlogHer (NYC 2010) and the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration, but those were always traveling with TechyDad and other friends. This will be me going by train for the first time into Penn Station. Of course, once I get to NYC I will meet up with Shannan, Kelby, Amy, Rene, and countless other amazing women. The opportunities for learning, networking, and getting away with the girls is huge.
Did I mention I am a Type A person? To say that I am running around the last few hours trying to think of what I will forget is an understatement. So my question to you this week:
What stresses you out about travel? Is it the planning (or lack of), packing, or something else and why?
If you are at SheStreams, I hope to meet up with you. You can find me on Twitter @TheAngelForever.

I never stress when I travel, not even when it’s a last minute trip.
Have a safe trip and a great time!

The only thing that stresses me about travel is if I have to get on plane. I am horribly afraid to fly after a nasty flight to Cancun that I seriously thought was going to crash. I hope you have a wonderful trip!

Not much; I LOVE traveling. The only thing that stresses me is that I might be late and miss a flight or connection or whatever. Have a great time!

I love to travel although I don’t get the opportunity to do it very often. I do get stressed, though….money/expense of trip and being away from home in general stresses me out. I’m one of those people that does not feel entirely comfortable sleeping somewhere besides my own bed; hotel beds give me the creeps. Also, (sorry if this is too much information, LOL!) but I tend to get a nervous stomach when I’m on a trip and my bathroom habits get out of whack.

Have FUN! I wanted to go, but things didn’t line up for me – I’m so glad they did for you!!
The thing that stresses me out is trying not to forget to bring something important with me, or running late when trying to get to where I’m going!

I really get stress when the family complains and doesn’t seem to enjoy the things I planned. I have stop planning things and just say, what ever you all want to do is fine. Then I look for the joy in it. One of these days I will go on a vacation with someone who enjoys the same things as I.

I love to travel, but I loathe packing and planning. I hate planning my trips so much that it’s become how I travel – figuring things out as I go along.
Enjoy She Streams. Wish I were there, if my husband wasn’t away, I’d find a way to go there right now!

I hate not having what I am use to having at home. Flying is the worst as well.
Have a great Friday!

I stress about the planning for the trip..making the arrangements for accomodation/plane tickets etc.. and also hope that the kids don’t fall sick while on vacations.

I’m so excited for you and yet … so green with envy. I love to travel. I don’t care if it’s planned months in advance or last minute … I’m game! My stress come from flying stand by and wondering, hoping and getting a seat on flights. Have FUN!!!
