Time for the 2014 Ultimate Blog Party

April can only mean one thing in the Blogosphere. It is time to get hopping from blog to blog to meet new friends, and say hello to some from the past. Yes, it is time for the…

Ultimate Blog Party 2014

I really do enjoy The Ultimate Blog Party because it reminds us to head back out into the blogging community to do what we used to do all the time. You remember what that was, right? Oh the good old days of roaming around and leaving comments to our fellow bloggers. Now when so many people reading blog posts on Feedly or mobile devices many of us (including myself) are guilty of saying they will leave a comment later. So pull up a chair, have some delicious goodies, and let me introduce myself.

Snacks for the UBP 2014

My name is Beth and I have been writing on The Angel Forever since February 2007 when I was expecting my second son. I wanted a place to capture memories and be able to vent. All these years later, my blog has given me opportunities and experiences that I never would have imagined. Even more important, my blog has allowed me to meet some amazing people online and in real life who are now my very good friends.

Views from my world

The Angel Forever is a lifestyle blog where I write about my life. I have been married to TechyDad for almost 13 years and we have two boys, NHL 10 and JSL 6. I often write about books that we are reading for Tuesday Tales and participate in the fun Disney Wordless Wednesday to show my always present #DisneySide. As an educator, a passion of mine is Public School Advocacy. This week we joined countless families around New York State who had their children refuse the grade 3-8 ELA exam. In addition to this, I am an autism advocate who tries to educate others. Why? Well, two years ago, our son was finally diagnosed as an Aspie. Now I strive to help others to understand his perceptions of the world. Knowledge is power and the more people know, the better the level of acceptance will be.

In a way, blogging is therapeutic for me. It gives me a way to express how things are going in our life and share our adventures. Plus, in life there are no limits, so something fun or important is perfect for sharing here on The Angel Forever. Some of those items are our Whovian/geeky side, my fondness for tech items (I am a Verizon Lifestyle Blogger), my creative side with arts/crafts/knitting/crocheting, and travels to museums near and far.

We hope to share more of our travels and life experiences as we keep on swimming.

Time for UBP 2013

It is that time of year again. Time to introduce yourself, hop around to new blogs, and make some great new friends. Yes, it is…

Ultimate Blog Party 2013

The Ultimate Blog Party is so much fun each year. It allows those that are part of the blogging community to get to know more people. So pull up a chair, have some of this cake, and let me share a little bit about myself.

Tie-Dye Cheesecake for the Party

My name is Beth and I am TechyDad’s wife, mother of two boys, educator, Disney enthusiast, long time knitter, new crocheter, tech geek, and freelance writer/blogger. I started blogging in 2007 when I was expecting my youngest son, who will turn 6 in just over a month (*GULP*). The Angel Forever is a combination of items in my life. I feature books on Tuesday Tales each week, share my Disney love every Wednesday (and sometimes more), write about out travels, and toss in items about life in general. Recently, I also started to share our journey into the world of autism advocacy. Yes, my son is an Aspie and I poured my heart out into a post about my wishes as a mother.

Ready for Purim

Life is never dull over here in The Angel Forever and I would not change a thing most days (being honest). Thanks to blogging, I have come out of my shell, learned a lot, and figured out more about the person I am and want to be.

Disney Attire

There is a method to the madness in how I pack for trips to Disney. I pull out clothing for the kids for a fashion show. Then, I check to make sure the items fit the boys. After that, I pair up outfits for each of them. Oh, did I happen to mention that every shirt is something from Disney? The only exception to that rule is sometimes what they wear when flying down. Once we are there, we have a tradition of wearing our matching shirts on the last day, but nothing else. In April, NHL made sure that he and JSL were wearing their Phineas and Ferb shirts when they met the dynamic duo at Hollywood Studios. Here are some of photos from our last trip that follows the Disney Wordless Wednesday theme of Disney Attire.

Disney Story Telling with Ridley Pearson

Every time you go to Walt Disney World or another Disney park, you are part of a story. The rides, shows, Cast Members, and all of the little details are part of the tale. Now imagine being invited to hear a real Disney author talk and then get a tour of Epcot to see where his visions came from. This happened to me in April when I went to the Disney Social Media Moms celebration and heard author Ridley Pearson explain how The Kingdom Keepers and Peter and the Starcatchers were born. After the session, he took a group of us to visit Norway in Epcot and ride on Maelstrom. This only seemed fitting for the Disney Wordless Wednesday theme of Story Telling.

Disney Architecture

Every time you head to Walt Disney World you notice new and different things. Subtle features catch your eyes, especially with the Disney style architecture. This week, the Disney Wordless Wednesday theme focuses on Disney Architecture. I could show different views of the castle, but I have some different items from around the parks and at different resorts.
