On Monday JSL’s teeth finally cut. I tried to get photos, but they were barely out. Plus he did not like me prying attempting to open his mouth and using the flashy thing.
Not to worry we found a solution!!!!!
Funny daddy made JSL laugh and I grabbed my camera and got some shots. Here are the ultra sharp pointy new teeth in JSL’s mouth as we were heading out into the cold today:

JSL had another milestone. Not only can he roll all over the place, sit up for a little while, and try to pull up to stand . . . . his two bottom teeth are cutting through.
The poor little guy is so easy going, but has been super clingy thanks to the pressure in his mouth. The last two weeks you could feel the tooth buds pushing their way up. The white shadow was there. Over the last 3-5 days you could really feel a hard ridge at the top of the gum line.
Last night he cried himself to sleep nursing since he hurt so bad (tried teething tablets and almost got Tylenol). This morning I stuck my hand in and sure enough feel little sharp spots starting out of the gums.
*sigh*
So much for those all gummy smiles soon. Time to really be good and brush his gums/teeth at night now.

I knew it was just a matter of time . . . but now I know I am doomed with JSL! The little guy has been rolling from his tummy to back since he was a month or so old. Recently he’s been very close to going from his back to tummy, but he always stops just before he completes the roll. That was until today!
This ladies and gentlemen is what the little monkey needed to motivate him.
This fuzzy kitty cat is super soft and best of all MACHINE WASHABLE! This is so very important with an infant since so many stuffed friends are only able to be surface washed.
JSL was on the ground at my parents house. I asked JL to toss me the kitty so JSL could play with it. When JL threw it, kitty landed on JSL’s tummy not the floor. Rather than act scared he started to laugh. Of course we had to try this several more times. Then we noticed that JSL looked for the kitty when it went on the floor next to him. I put the kitty just out of his reach and he rolled part way over to try to grab it. Mom, Dad, JL, NHL and I watched as JSL rolled all the way over onto his tummy for the first time!!!! The only problem he had was at the end when his hand got stuck under his belly.
Now I am sure he’s going to work on this the next few days and before I know it he will be rolling all over the place. *sigh* I guess this is what happens with kids that have older siblings to want to go after.

Once again another baby milestone has been reached.
It only took 4 1/2 months, but JSL finally found his penis! Sad isn’t it what makes me laugh and find a need to blog?!
Last night we decided to make things easy to have JSL take a shower with mommy. So JL took the little guy to remove his diaper while I got the water temperature just right. JL comes back into the room laughing. I asked what was going on. So he tells me to look out of the curtain.
When I do I see JSL with his hand firmly clenched onto his "friend" and not letting go.
LOL – I was dying. JL and I couldn’t stop laughing.
Clearly he found it and was afraid to let go. We were finally able to make him move his hand from his newly found body part and head into the shower.
*sigh*
I guess I knew it was only time since he is a BOY!

JSL has been rolling over for quite some time now from his tummy to back. Unforunately he’s been sneaky and had done it mainly when nobody was watching. Earlier in the month we were able to catch it in a family moment. Now that my new blog is up and running and JL has shown me how to upload video I am all good to go. So here is a video of the little guy rolling over and everyone cheering him on.
